Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working model:
- 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,
- 2 days from an RACP office location per week,
- 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.
Job Description
Support a professional membership
Weekend and evening work required
This role sits within the College’s Member Engagement & Support Department which develops and fosters positive and mutually supporting relationships between the College and the Fellowship across Australasia. The Member Support Officer (MSO) provides practical, on the ground, member services across Australia and New Zealand including (but not limited to); training and advice on the RACP education programs, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program and Supervisor Professional Development Program (SPDP); coordination and logistical assistance for local meetings and events; and general member support functions.
Some of the MSO's responsibilities include:
Providing advice and support to Fellows, supervisors, Directors of Physician Education and trainees on the RACP education programs within NSW and ACT
Promulgate and support Fellow engagement in the Colleges CPD program
Provide coordination and logistical support for the College’s SPDP program
Prepare, coordinate and facilitate Physician Readiness for Expert Practice (PREP) training activities including workshops and PREP information sessions for members
Support the key state office activities and events for members; e.g. Advanced and Basic Trainee Forums
Act as an on-going communication channel between Member Engagement & Support and local membership
Desired Skills and Experience
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in the role, the incumbent will possess the following skills and attributes:
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in a member services organisation
Current drivers licence and own car
Effective written and oral communication skills
Experience providing high level member services and support
Ability to facilitate training workshops
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members from different parts of an organisation/service or business
A commitment to professional customer / member service
Proficiency in the use of MSWord, excel, email and the use of databases.
Ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
Recognition of requirements for confidentiality
Demonstrated high level skills in managing stakeholder expectations in a complex environment
