Job Description
About the Role
The Senior Case Officer provides oversight to Training Support Policies and Procedures, providing high level advice and assistance to trainees, their supervisors, College committees and College staff within a support context.
This role will be an escalation point by providing support and guidance in complex cases to the Training Support and Training Services teams. This position also prepares data and written reports, conducts compliance checks and supports the facilitation of cases through the College’s education and training governance processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing, providing advice and supporting to Case Officers in the Training Support team on complex trainee cases, ensuring the advice is fair, evidence-based and supported by policy.
Maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
Setting up systems and processes to maintain accurate case records and ensure optimum frameworks exists for this data capture
Identifying ways to continually improve the Training Support Unit’s processes, systems, services and resources and assisting with the implementation of these improvements
Collecting, collating and analysing data on trainee cases
Preparing reports to inform current decision making and service improvement, on the progress of trainees and to key committees
Conduct a regular cycle of compliance checking
Co-ordinating the multiple stakeholders involved in providing and monitoring support and remediation for trainees requiring enhanced support
Ensuring continuity of appropriate support for individual trainees when they change training sites and training supervisors
Offer advice and help develop management plans for complex trainee cases
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated skills and experience in leading teams and the performance management of team members
Proven administrative skills, organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
High level written and oral communication skills including providing advice about complex issues, writing, producing and interpreting complex reports
Proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Diligence in ensuring that all aspects of procedural fairness are maintained
Discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential issues
Three years’ case management experience in a health setting is preferred
