Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.  

Job Description

About the Role

This role is within our Training Services team, which is responsible for providing training progression and comprehensive administrative support to trainees, supervisors and committees involved in the RACP Basic and Advanced training programs across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Executive Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of day-to-day operational services of assigned Training Programs. This involves working closely with the team to ensure decisions comply with RACP policies and procedures and committee support is delivered within a governance framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide expert advice and support for training programs.
  • Train and mentor team members to support the Senior Executive Officer build and maintain an effective team. 
  • Co-ordinate administration in relation to assigned training programs to support the day-to-day operations. 
  • Provide professional secretariat support to relevant committees including conjoint committee/s. This includes coordinating, attending and facilitating meetings, and preparing agendas, briefs, minutes, draft reports and correspondence.
  • Provide comprehensive and timely responses to member enquiries. Take ownership of each enquiry by understanding the member's needs and providing clear explanations, instructions, or solutions in line with RACP policies and procedures. Ensure that enquiry is addressed and resolved.
  • Contribute to the development of effective working relationships with key stakeholders to support communication between the College and its stakeholders. 
  • Contribute to and participate in projects as required including education development, process improvement and policy development. 

This is a fixed term contract until June 2026.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Professional experience in accreditation and/or management of medical or other education/health programs or in a member-based organisation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, adept at crafting reports, briefs, correspondence and policy/process documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic work environments, proactively identifying and addressing challenges through critical thinking and strategic planning.
  • Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, managing a range of complex tasks in a changing work environment while maintaining an attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment, to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels. 
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering professional client and secretariat services, including high level written and verbal communication skills, business writing and presentations.
