Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

The Role

The RACP Foundation offers approximately to $2.5M annually in funding to support Fellows and trainees at different stages of their careers to undertake innovative health research.

The primary purpose of the role is to support the team responsible for managing the RACP Foundation Award application and administration processes to support Fellows and trainees to undertake innovative health research.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Manage the workflow and effectiveness of the award administration process, including reporting on award administration processes to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the award submission process 
  • Develop and implement systems and procedures to achieve improvements in Award application and administration processes.
  • Analyse policies, rules and instructions for RACP Foundation Awards to ensure compliance with requirements and provide accurate advice to Fellow and trainee physicians
  • Provide an efficient and up-to-date process for tracking award payments including working with the Finance team to manage the processing and tracking of Awards and Award payments
  • Support the relevant College committees in preparing meeting materials – for both distribution in advance as well as at meetings
  • Deliver Foundation social events and report outcomes to relevant College committees and the Board.
  • Assist in preparing an annual plan for funding grants and awards based on projected Foundation income
  • Direct and supervise RACP Foundation team, allocating work, monitoring performance and coordinating professional development, to ensure delivery of quality outcomes

The Successful Candidate

  • People management experience including demonstrated ability to select, train, motivate, and inspire staff while holding them accountable for their performance 
  • Operational management experience including demonstrated high level financial skills and the ability to deliver quality, customer focussed services
  • Experience of developing and implementing effective operational plans for the delivery of services
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic planning, policy formulation and implementation and risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to write high-level management reports
  • Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills
  • High level ability to interpret and comment on policy, rules and regulations
  • An excellent understanding of implementing quality assurance practices into operations and a demonstrable commitment to best practice
  • Ability to use a variety of computer systems and software packages, including those to provide complex management information
  • IT Capabilities: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms
