The role
This newly created role will lead key initiatives that strengthen the capability, inclusion and wellbeing of the College’s members in their volunteer roles including supervisors, examiners and committee members. The position drives cultural and behavioural change by embedding principles of equity, diversity inclusion and professional accountability across College functions.
The role will grow capability, develop a Professional Accountability Framework, and delivery of education programs that promote respectful, civil, inclusive and safe environments for all members.
Key Accountabilities include:
Lead the identification and facilitation of learning needs for the volunteer workforce.
Support identified committees
Coordinate the development of a Professional Accountability Framework.
Facilitate cross-College collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Provide project management, governance and reporting
Collaborate with governance team to ensure RACP Volunteers are on-boarded to establish strong links with the College.
Manage budgets, contracts and external consultancy
Desired Skills and Experience
The Successful Candidate
We are seeking a candidate with experience working in adult education and/or training & development, who appreciates the complexities and challenges of being a volunteer. Other essential attributes include:
Possession of the relevant tertiary qualification and / or relevant experience, knowledge and skills.
Sound project management experience managing projects of similar scope, type, and complexity including the establishment and management of budgets and other project resources.
Proven experience in change management within an organisation.
Solid organisational skills including the ability to deliver competing priorities on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of key stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience in the preparation of project proposals for senior internal and external stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with medical specialists, health professionals, and government officials.
Understanding of workplace health and safety systems.
