Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.  

Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a Program Development Officer to join our Professional Practice team and lead the development of high-impact educational content that supports the lifelong learning of physicians across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. 
In this role, you’ll combine strong writing, editing and research skills with a collaborative mindset – working closely with content contributors and subject matter experts to design evidence-informed learning resources that make a real difference. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) educational content and resources from concept to publication 
  • Write, edit and structure content in collaboration with content contributors and subject matter experts
  • Apply research and evidence to inform content, including literature reviews and environmental scans
  • Provide editorial guidance to ensure content is clear and relevant 
  • Contribute to CPD program improvement through reflective practice and innovation
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines, keeping key stakeholders informed throughout.

Desired Skills and Experience

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a tertiary qualification or have relevant experience in communications, education, medical education, e-learning or health
  • Have demonstrated experience in developing adult learning content
  • Bring strong research skills and the ability to apply findings to educational resource development
  • Be an excellent writer and editor, with a clear and engaging communication style
  • Thrive in collaborative settings and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders
  • Be confident in managing competing priorities and working independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
