Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

The Role

The Member Support Officer (MSO) sits within the Aotearoa New Zealand Member Engagement and Support (MES) team which facilitates internal and external stakeholder relationships, working in a trans-Tasman environment to provide excellent communications and advocacy. The MES team supports internal and external events and works collaboratively across College teams.

The MSO’s purpose is to create member value through Aotearoa NZ member events, member engagement activities, services and support, in alignment with the College’s Member Engagement Strategy. 

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an on-going communication channel between the Aotearoa NZ office and local membership, via email and phone communication channels.
  • Provide coordination, facilitation and logistical support for the College’s Supervisor Professional Development Programme (SPDP)
  • Provide high level communication to stakeholders and members and be the link between trainees, local supervisors, Education Support Officers, RACP Education Services and Professional Practice teams
  • Provide high level administration and secretariat support to Committees, including meeting agendas, minutes, preparation of meeting papers, invited speakers, zoom links, action plans and other reporting requirements
  • Maintain Committee membership and member communication activities across relevant RACP platforms
  • Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency, streamline processes, and embed consistent practices

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in the role, you will possess:

  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in a health-related member services organisation
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience providing high level member services and support
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members from different parts of an organisation/service or business
  • A commitment to professional customer / member service
  • Ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • Recognition of requirements for confidentiality
  • Demonstrated high level skills in managing stakeholder relationships in a complex environment
