Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

The Role

The primary purpose of the digital learning team is to develop engaging digital designs and support the implementation of a range of educational programs for physicians and trainee physicians in Australia and New Zealand.

Main duties will include;

  • Lead the design, development and and optimization of online learning content in the College’s Learning Management System (Moodle), transforming plain learning materials into interactive, learner-friendly web experiences.
  • Write clean, standards-compliant HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery to implement responsive layouts, accessible features, and engaging interactive elements, while continuously enhancing LMS functionality and ensuring optimal usability across devices and platforms.
  • Collaborate with Growth Innovation and Performance team on future features and enhancement to Moodle.
  • Conduct ongoing research into design and technology trends to maintain a high standard of design and development and to maintain currency with the latest frameworks (E.g. Bootstrap)
  • Design and deliver high-quality, visually engaging graphics for the RACP LIFT Event Series, including promotional assets, digital and print materials, social media graphics, presentation templates, and event collateral, ensuring brand consistency with RACP guidelines and enhancing audience engagement across all event communications.
  • Support the Digital Learning Officer with the editing and upload of videos for the CLS and other MedLearn products when required, ensuring adherence to branding and other requirements (e.g. copyright, privacy).
  • Design and develop animations, graphics and simple motion graphics to enhance videos and online resources.
  • Support Members in the use of the LMS platform, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly
  • Assist and provide coverage to the team with regard to logistical and administrative tasks as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have; 

  • A relevant degree or equivalent (web development, multimedia development) with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in designing and developing digital experiences, with a focus on front end development, responsive design and web design
  • Demonstrated strong experience with standard web technologies including CSS, HTML, JQuery and Javascript as well as relevant frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Suite in a commercial web and graphic design setting, in particular Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere
  • Demonstrated high level oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal and consultation skills
  • Experience developing native responsive web experiences
  • Prior experience with standard web development processes such as storyboarding, user task flows and wireframes
  • Experience with developing and maintaining CMS or LMS technology (Moodle) and applications
  • Demonstrated experience using version control software and principles, such as GIT
  • Demonstrated experience working in front end development lifecycles using tools such as JIRA
  • Understanding of mobile technologies, such as smartphone applications and mobile friendly/responsive web sites
  • Demonstrated understanding of usability, accessibility and web standards
  • Demonstrated understanding of user experience design
  • Understanding of project management principles with proven ability to take initiative, prioritise and complete high volume tasks within deadlines
