Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.  

Job Description

About the Role

Training Services is responsible for the delivery of advice and services to trainees, supervisors, Directors of Physician/Paediatrics Education and Committees in relation to RACP Basic and Advanced Training programs across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.  Training Services also oversees Training Support and the delivery of the clinical examinations in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This role sits within the Training Services Projects team to support business process improvements (particularly for new curricula programs which includes development of new processes and procedures), improvement of data quality and the implementation of changes impacting the operational teams across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse, develop and deliver processes and procedures to support ongoing rollout of new curricula programs, system enhancements, data and reporting requirements, or policy changes.
  • Identify process gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct testing and detailed investigation to inform accurate updates to processes and ensure quality improvements are embedded.
  • Monitor and analyse data across systems to identify quality issues impacting trainee progression, service delivery, reporting, and decision‑making.
  • Coordinate and/or execute regular data cleansing and quality audits across key aspects of new curricula programs and supporting systems to mitigate any risks.
  • Recommend and support implementation of data quality improvement solutions, including process changes and remediation activities.
  • Prepare data quality improvement documentation to support future new curricula rollouts.
  • Support implementation of other system, process and policy changes impacting Training Services.
  • Prepare clear briefs, reports, impact assessments, and summaries to support decision‑making and escalation.
  • Develop resources and guidance materials to support the consistent adoption of new or improved processes.
  • Support procedural training and knowledge transfer to ensure changes are embedded into business‑as‑usual operations.
  • Contribute to post implementation reviews, identifying lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to other Training Services project implementation work as required.

This is an 18-month fixed term Role

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to undertake detailed workflow management and business process mapping.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven capacity to exercise initiative, flexibility and to be proactive in development of robust solutions to problems.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Ability to work independently, undertaking a high level of personal responsibility and initiative as required within the role.
  • Experience with system testing, issue resolution, support, and stakeholder engagement.
  • High-level communication skills and ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Detail oriented, decisive and goal oriented with a strong ability to adapt plans to meet changes in landscape. 
  • Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate initiative.
