Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

About The Role

The primary function of the  Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) Lead is to manage all activities related to the college-wide project management framework (PMF) to uplift project, program and portfolio management across the College. This includes continuous improvement, advice and guidance, monitoring and quality control and compliance activities, portfolio analysis and reporting, as well as advocacy and education for sponsors, stakeholders and project teams.

The ePMO Lead will be responsible for:

  • Leading the ongoing management and continuous improvement of the college-wide project management framework (PMF)
  • Maintain up to date and complete training modules for the PMF and onboard new program/program managers and staff to the PMF
  • Ensuring the PMF remains integrated with other relevant college frameworks and policies
  • Leading the preparation and delivery of project and portfolio reporting to the PGG, Finance and Risk Management Committee and College Board
  • Providing strategic and operational support for the project portfolio, including operational reporting, risk and issue tracking, dependency tracking, quality control and post project benefits tracking and reporting
  • Leading routine and ad-hoc quality control and compliance activities to identify issues or risks and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Maintaining the College lessons learnt and dependency register
  • Undertaking resource management activities to ensure support teams have adequate resourcing
  • Providing coaching and training on the PMF via the project management community of practice and to individual teams as needed
  • Managing the project management community of practice in conjunction with the PMO Manager
     

Desired Skills and Experience

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in the role you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a key member of a project team.
  • Experience working in, or closely with, a project or portfolio management office
  • Ability to critically analyse issues and problems and propose innovative and fit for purpose solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and an understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Experience in delivering training and presentations.
  • Ability to manage or templates, tools, and processes.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow-through on tasks.
  • Ability to work independently to problem solve towards solutions and take initiative.
