Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

The Role

This role leads and manages the review, change request, quality assurance, continuous improvement and publication processes for curricula and associated collateral for RACP training programs.

Main responsibilities include; 

  • Plan, implement and manage processes for the review and quality improvement of curricula
  • Coordinate cyclical review processes to continuously improve curricula and related products
  • Develop, consult on and quality assure content for curricula and supporting resources
  • Advise committees, members and team members on educational processes, quality assurance processes, change impacts and risks
  • Critically review and analyse change requests to ensure adherence with educational standards and principles
  • Design and deliver workshops to assist problem analysis and solution generation for complex issues relating to curriculum design, development, implementation and change requests
  • Quality control complex documents to ensure consistent application of principles, policy and guidelines across all RACP training programs.
  • Establish a central source of truth for curricula to support accuracy and data integrity
  • Collaborate with other business units to review and publish curricula
  • Prepare and deliver support materials and training sessions for staff and committee members
  • Plan and manage stakeholder engagement, communications and change management activities relating to requests for changes to curricula
  • Prepare briefs, minutes, reports and correspondence
  • Research best practice in medical education and local and international systems and practices
  • Identify areas for process improvement, focusing on activities to streamline and standardise training programs

Support other EDI activities and projects as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

Essential

  • High level written and oral communication skills (reports and briefs, policy/process documentation, and presentations) and commitment to professional client service
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to understand, critique and synthesise complex information
  • Experience in process design and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to negotiate agreeable solutions with stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, managing a range of complex tasks in a changing work environment while maintaining a focus on quality 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with own and other teams
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate initiative 
  • IT Capabilities: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms

 

Desired

  • Experience in project planning, management, and risk management
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or relevant experience in health, management or education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in managing a small team

Knowledge of roles of specialist medical colleges, health jurisdictions and regulators, and postgraduate medical education
