2 days from an RACP office location per week,

Job Description
About the Role
This position sits within the GenMed Horizons project, a Commonwealth Government-funded initiative focused on strengthening General Medicine training and workforce development across Australia.
Working alongside clinical leads, project managers and key stakeholders, you will support qualitative and quantitative research into the General Medicine workforce, with a particular focus on regional, rural and remote settings.
Key accountabilities include:
Support the design and delivery of qualitative and quantitative research relating to the General Medicine workforce.
Conduct literature reviews and assist with research ethics applications.
Develop surveys and other research tools to support data collection and evaluation.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support research activities.
Contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications and presentations.
Support the dissemination of research findings to inform workforce planning and improvements to medical training.
This is a fixed term / part time contract until October 2027, working 18.75 hours per week.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
The successful candidate will have:
A qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. education, health) that includes exposure to qualitative and quantitative research methods, and/or significant relevant experience
Proficiency in data management and statistics using applications such as Excel and either SPSS or Power BI
Basic proficiency in qualitative analysis using NVivo
High level written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Tact and sensitivity to confidential issues
Sound problem solving skills
Ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and independently
IT Capabilities: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms
