Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working model:
- 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,
- 2 days from an RACP office location per week,
- 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.
Job Description
The Role
The Executive Officer, Events sits within the Conference & Events Team and provides Events strategic project and business coordination and administration services. The Events Team manages all aspects of the RACP internal (Sydney and Melbourne) and external meetings and events.
Responsibilities include:
Provide project support for RACP’s annual flagship event, Congress, including Congress Program Committee secretariat and governance support and program development.
Ongoing development of the RACP flagship event/Congress strategy in consultation with the Conference & Events Manager
Provide administrative support to the Congress 2024 Project Manager
Management of the Congress inbox
Support ongoing development and implementation of the Events Strategy in consultation with the Conference & Events Manager
Support other projects within the Conference & Events team as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in the role, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Experience in delivering high quality executive support to committees
Project support and management experience
Effective written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated capacity to quickly understand and manage expectations in a complex multi-stakeholder environment
Ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
A commitment to professional customer / member service
Proficiency in the use of MSWord, excel, email and the use of databases
Proficient in the use of Adobe Acrobat professional or similar
Strong relationship-building skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team with a flexible and collaborative approach
Experience working in health/medical would be advantageous.
