Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model

  • 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,  
  • 2 days from an RACP office location per week,  
  • 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

The Project Manager, IT supports the IT Operations and Technology Delivery team to plan, organise and control activities for a project or program of work. The Project Manager works closely with the Manager, IT Operations and Technology Delivery to establish and maintain project management frameworks and controls. This role is also responsible for meeting program objectives within quality, time, and budget targets, and for managing associated risks. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and actively manage business and IT projects 
  • Provide mentoring and support to all project resources 
  • Prepare and facilitate flow of information across project resources and senior stakeholders 
  • Manage and negotiate with external vendors where applicable 
  • Design resourcing model and manage resources for both individual projects 
  • Perform detailed risk analysis, articulate risks to senior stakeholders and manage risks and issues effectively 
  • Identify project costs and timeframes 
  • Manage project administration and reporting 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management processes and framework 
  • Design and deliver status updates to Senior executives 
  • Manage project expectations and project issues, effectively managing senior stakeholder concerns 
  • Design and manage all change and release management activities during the course of a project 
     

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Ability to deliver business objectives and manage business implementation activities in addition to IT deliverables 
  • High level technical capability and knowledge of Information Systems 
  • Strong business acumen and organisational sensitivity. 
  • Experience in managing multi-developer environments. 
  • Demonstrable project management skills including the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines and mitigate risk. 
  • Strong leadership and management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and people skills. 
  • Senior Executive Level communication development and delivery 
  • Understanding of software development methodologies including software packages and managed services. 
  • Accomplished problem solving and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Enthusiasm and aptitude for developing new technical and non-technical skills as required. 
  • Adjusts methodologies to align with the College’s frameworks  
  • IT Capabilities: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms, Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps
